Japan Collaborates with Cambodia to Enhance Inland Port Development

Phnom Penh, June 26, 2024 – On Tuesday morning, June 25, 2024, Ieng Veng Sun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, together with Ms. Mirayosiko, Senior Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Cambodia, co-chaired the third meeting of the Coordinating Committee for the Port Administration Capacity Building Project in Cambodia. The meeting saw the participation of ministry leaders, relevant technical officers, and a team of Japanese technical experts.

The focus of the discussion was to strategize and prepare the port area to enhance the development of inland waterway transport in line with Cambodia’s Inland Waterway Transport Law.
